The Application Ages (AA) field contains age ranges or groups for which the test is appropriate.

The Abstract (AB) field summarizes the diagnostic objective of the procedure, its structure, theoretical background, and construction as well as empirical data and psychometric criteria.

The Correspondence Address (AD) field contains the current address(es) of the author(s) listed in the Author (AU) field. The e-mail address and URL of the authors' home page are sometimes included.

The Application Time (AE) field gives the approximate amount of time necessary for administration of the test.

All Fields (AF) is an alias for all of the fields which occur in the source documents, including value-added fields such as Subject Headings (SH).

The Age Group (AG) field indicates for which age group(s) the tests are intended. Possible age groups and corresponding age range are as follows.

When searching using the field label, use only the name of the age group, for example adulthood.ag.

The All Items (AI) field contains all test items.

The Administration Prerequisites (AM) field provides information about test administration, such as whether scoring may be carried out by an assistant or whether observer training is necessary.

Each record in the PSYNDEXplus Tests Database is assigned a unique 7-digit identifier contained in the Accession Number (AN) field. This allows the retrieval of a specific record at any time. Accession numbers for PSYNDEXplus Test records start with “900”.

The Applications (AP) field provides information regarding the appropriateness of a test for certain applications, research areas in which the test may be applied, whether individual diagnosis is possible, advantages and disadvantages compared to similar tests, comments regarding utility and economy of the test and so on.

Author names appearing in the (AU) field are not always identical with the original test authors. For example, the name of the author adapting or translating a test originally published in another language appears in the Author field instead of the original test author. All test authors are listed. The original authors can be found in the Title (TI) field.

In the Author Name (AX) field you can search individual words contained in the Author (AU) field.

The Classification Code (CC) field contains numeric codes and classification categories representing broad subject areas, such as "Learning and Motivation" or "Linguistics, Language and Speech". The Test Construction (CN) field describes test construction methods, including test theory (such as classical or probabilistic), item pool (such as construction, formulation, or selection), item characteristics (such as difficulty or correlations with total scale score), construction of subtests, and so on.

In case you wish to retrieve every Classification Category/Test Classification Category that includes a particular word or words, you can search the desired word(s) in the Classification Word (CW) field. This field contains the words of both the English and the German Classification Categories and Test Classification Categories.

The Country (CY) field lists the country of origin of the test. Country names are in English.

The Non-Thesaurus Subject Headings (DE) field contains previous entries from the subject heading that are no longer actual terms in the Thesaurus. This field is indexed via the Subject Headings (SH).

The Evaluation (EV) field contains a comprehensive, critical discussion of the test.

The Forms (FO) field provides information about individual or group testing; standard, long, short, parallel, computer forms of tests or forms for special populations (for example, blind persons); translations of test into other languages.

In case you wish to retrieve every Subject Heading that includes a particular word or words, you can search the desired word(s) in the Heading Word (HW) field. This field contains the words of both the English and the German Subject Headings.

The Indexing (ID) field indicates the name(s) of the indexer(s) and date of indexing (date of writing or last important modification of the test description). It also indicates whether the test description has been provided by the test authors themselves.

Search by the indexer's last name, for example eberwein.id, or for a date in the format DDMMYYYY, for example “21102002”.id.

The Interpretation Help (IH) field provides information about available interpretation aids such as scoring keys, scoring stencils, answer sheets, computer programs, etc.

The Interpretation Mode (IM) field provides information on the procedure for test interpretation: scoring (such as scoring pattern, possible score range, scoring keys), methods for converting raw scores to stens or percentiles.

The Interpretation Time (IR) field provides information on the procedure and approximate amount of time necessary for test interpretation.

The Instructions (IX) field gives information about verbal, written, standardized, or other (for example, computer-assisted) types of instructions.

The Key Phrase (KP) field contains additional semistructured information (only available in German) about the year of the first publication of a test (may differ from the  Year of Publication (YR) field), uniform notation of age ranges (for example, ab ... Jahre, bis ... Jahre, ab ... Schuljahr, bis ... Schuljahr), method of test construction (for example, Probabilistische Testtheorie), administration (for example, paper and pencil test), and subtests.

The Norms (NO) field indicates whether norms are available or not and describes norms (such as age, grade, separate norms for males and females, standard scores, stens, or percentiles), samples or standardization samples (such as representative sample, number of cases, sampling proportions, geographic regions, size of cities, socioeconomic status, ethnic background) from which norms were drawn.

The Objectivity (OB) field describes whether test administration, test scoring, and test interpretation may be regarded as objective.

The Test Procedure (PC) field describes the structure of the test, including number of items, answering format, type of interpretation possible, scoring (such as scoring pattern, possible score range, scoring keys), methods for converting raw scores to stens or percentiles, and occasionally sample items.

The References (RF) field contains literature references to tests. As far as possible, references are cited according to the guidelines of the German Psychological Association (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Psychologie). In addition to the references cited in the test description, the most important recent publications (WICHTIGE NEUERE PUBLIKATIONEN) after entry of the record into the database are included. You can look up any of these terms by using the Thesaurus tool. Subject Headings are entered into the index as phrases and should be searched exactly as they appear in the thesaurus.

The Source (SO) field contains bibliographic and publication information for the test, such as publication title, journal name, volume, issue number, pagination, publisher. The Source field often includes price, library call number, and international standard book number.

The Subject (SU) field is for simultaneous word searching in Key Phrase (KP), Subject Headings (SH), and German Subject Headings (SG).

The Test Availability (TA) field contains information about where the test may be ordered or in which publication the items etc. can be found.

The Theoretical Background (TB) field describes the theoretical background of the test, major theoretical concepts, its relation to and findings of ongoing or finished research projects, and/or defines the main variables.

The Test Classification Codes (TC) field contains numeric codes and terms that describe broad test categories.

There are a total of 181 Test Classification Categories and Codes (13 main categories and 168 subcategories). A maximum of two codes/categories are assigned to each record.For example, to retrieve the major category Intelligence Tests plus its 9 subcategories, type "02$".tc.

The Validity (VL) field provides information on the internal, external, factor-analytic, logical, discriminant, construct, or any other type of test validity.
